The stories follow the adventures of two siblings, Jiaan and Avya as they learn a multitude of things about their culture, heritage and religion.

Growing up in Bombay, co-author Anusuya Hinduja learnt about culture and Hindu gods from going to temple every Sunday with her grandparents. Since then, she’s moved to London, worked in fashion for 15 years and has become a mum to two sons, ages 27 and 4. She’s seen how motherhood has changed over the course of different decades. Her culture and faith are paramount to her writing journey and are concepts she hopes to instill in her kids and her children’s books. 

Co-author Sonam Fabiani is of Indian origin, but grew up in London, Nigeria and Dubai where she was exposed to a mix of cultures and traditions. Thanks to her multicultural background, she was also encouraged to learn more about herself and her own heritage. Sonam has worked in fashion for 8 years and currently lives in Madrid as a new mum to a beautiful 18-month-old daughter and is currently expecting another little girl this fall.
